The Southfield Goodfellows are an all volunteer,
non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The primary goal of
the Southfield Goodfellows is to assure that no child in
Southfield or Lathrup Village is forgotten during the
Holiday Season. We also assist in meeting the food
requirements of needy families and senior citizens in
the community at this special time of year.
Our secondary goal is to provide assistance to
individuals year-round through our Urgent Needs
Program. This assistance for unforeseen hardship is
conducted on a case-by-case basis, as long as funds
are available. The City of Southfield Human Services
Department manages the program on behalf of the

How you can help!
No child or senior should be forgotten at the holiday season...
individuals to participate in the Southfield Goodfellows
|Volunteer! We need volunteers to assist with the |
|sorting/packing of gifts and food|
|Sponsor food drives within your organization - |
|collect canned and packaged goods for |
distribution through the Goodfellows food
|Grant money to the Goodfellows for the |
|purchase of clothing certificates for children and |
food certificates to supplement those goods
collected in food drives.
|Sponsor a “giving tree”. The Goodfellows |
|provide your organization with paper holiday |
tags, each listing the first name, age and gender
of a specific needy child in the community.
|Provide locations for the newspaper sales |
|which take place on the Monday following |
